Illinois Specialty Growers Association (ISGA) needs volunteers to work in the Illinois State Fair Farm Stand Thursday August 13-Sunday August 23, 2026 between 9:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m.. Come promote our state's specialty crops by volunteering your time to serve slushies, ice cream, watermelon and more, help with basic food prep, or handle cash register transactions. Weekends are the busiest times of the fair, so please consider filling a weekend volunteer shift. Each shift is only 3.5 hours! We cannot do this without you, and we know it will be an enjoyable experience at the fair! 

 

 

As a volunteer, you'll receive:

* FREE fair admission

* Parking reimbursement

* A FREE ISGA baseball hat

* A FREE ISGA T-shirt

* Complimentary apple cider slushies, popcorn, sweet corn, ice cream, and watermelon during your shift!

* Countless smiles of appreciation from our customers!

 

This year, our regular shifts do not overlap. Peak Hour Shifts are the overlapping shifts for our busiest times at the fair, such as Ag Day. If you choose a Peak Hour shift, please do not choose an overlapping shift on the same day. If you are unable to be there for the full shift, then please choose a different shift time or day.

We have a lot of fun at the fair, but there are some risks and we use some sharp tools and hot equipment. We want everyone to be aware and safe. Please read our Volunteer Release HERE.
